It has been more than 2 years that we started working on Project Actium, and many things have happened so far. From the early days of sketching in our notebooks to the PixelHeaven booth in Warsaw, we made great steps, and more importantly, we have learned a lot. When we were first starting with Actium, our first project, we had no idea what was coming in our way. From the simplest things like the way we code, every day we were discovering new and better ways of working. That is why we have decided to call our current build a prototype, and start working on new code, from scratch. There are so many things that we can do much better, and we believe that this will eventually save us a lot of headache and debugging in the future! That is why we ask you for a little more patience. The project is still on, and we have even bigger plans that we dared of dreaming before, because of all the new experiences we got during the project. Hey guys, it has been a while. Although we are still working hard on Heir to the Horde, things are going a bit slower. In case you didn’t know, we fund our project with our part time jobs, and those were a little bit more demanding lately. Of course, having a part time job besides our project also has it’s perks. We got new workstations at the office! To be future proof, we built our own systems, powered by the latest AMD Ryzen CPU, a superfast M2 SSD and hyperspeed RAM. We are ready to speed things up! Right now, we are working on a complete new build of Heir to the Horde. Once it is somewhat playable, I will share some screenshots and videos 🙂
With three more days to go until PixelHeaven 2017, we are finally ready to reveal some details about our ambitious project named Actium. Because the project is still in an early phase, everything you read here is subject to change.
- Actium is a story driven rpg in which the player takes the role of a Mongolian clan leader.
- The story is about a clan that is forced to migrate to other lands.
- The story doesn’t just cover one hero, but multiple generations of successors. As the clan moves further away from their home, with every generation the player takes control of a new leader.
- The actions of previous clan leaders have huge impact on the story and shape the playable heroes of the future generations.
